Description
Extracts are a great way to get the benefits of bamboo in a concentrated form. Glycerine is a clear, odorless liquid made from vegetables in this case coconut oil, and it can be used to extract herbs in a non-alcohol format. It is sweet but is not processed lay the body like sugar so also good for people with blood sugar issues.
Alcohol works great for some components of herbs and in general, is a highly effective way to deliver herbal medicine. Glycerine is a bit subtler but I like using it with bamboo because it tends to extract water-soluble elements and vitamins a bit better than alcohol. This is important as silica is a water-soluble element. To get the best of both worlds try the Dual Extract or the Triple Extract.
This extract is shelf-stable and can easily be carried for people on the go. This can also be added to the tea for an upgraded version. Bamboo has many phytochemicals and the flavonoids like flavanones and anthocyanins are soluble in glycerine as well as tannins and pigments like beta carotene.
The extract is a concentrate that is not diluted. The recommended dosage is half a dropper 2-3 times a day under the tongue. The 1oz bottle should last about 10 days.
